Position Summary:
Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a motivated & experienced Configuration Management/Data Management Specialist to support the Missile and Weapons Systems program located in Huntsville, Alabama.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs a technical check of complex engineering data to verify that engineering, partner, and/or supplier product definition data (e.g., bill of material, geometry, digital models) meets procedural and system requirements.
- Define, document and interpret product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and data management and engineering processes.
- Develop, document and implement plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and maintain configuration control.
- Communicates requirements to coworkers/customers regarding procedures, processes, and tools that support the preparation, release, and interpretation of product definition data.
- Track, reconcile discrepancies and report data to monitor adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements.
- Support audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements.
- Assist with development certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Boeing’s Huntsville facility. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications :
- 3 years Configuration Management/Data Management experience
Preferred Qualifications :
- More than 3 years of Configuration Management/Data Management
- Strong communication skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business field
Typical Education & Experience
Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years’ related work experience, 5 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Relocation

Pay range for Associate level: $63,750 – $86,250
Pay range for Experienced level: $79,050 – $106,950
