Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking talented individuals to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA as an Experienced Product Data Management Engineer. Ideal candidates will provide Configuration Management (CM) support to a Seal Beach Proprietary Programs, implement, manage and control the five CM disciplines; CM Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Change Management, Configuration Status Accounting and Configuration Verification & Audit.
Collaborates with teams in the development, analysis, management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of complex products. Defines, plans, coordinates and conducts product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products. Analyzes complex product trades and/or changes and develops technically complete change proposals. Contributes to the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes and tools. Defines and allocates Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle. Coordinates the integration of product elements and analyzes & resolves issues with engineering product structure. Develops, integrates and implements engineering technical program plans including impacts, risks and incorporation of lessons learned spanning multiple engineering functions. Works under general direction.
Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is currently looking for an Experienced Product Data Management Engineer to join the team in Huntington Beach, CA.
Position Responsibilities:

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program .
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a technical field (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study).
- 3+ years of experience with Configuration Management and Product Data Management processes and tools
- Active U.S Top Secret level clearance with SSBI
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience d efining and allocating Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle.
- 5+ years of experience p roviding technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, developing solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives
Typical Education & Experience:
Experienced (Level 3) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 4)
Bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for experienced level: $96,050 – $129,950
Summary pay range for senior level: $120,700 – $163,300
