The Operations Business Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the Material Resource Planning/Enterprise Resource Planning process is effectively maintained, updated and upgraded. They will be responsible for the maintenance of and special reporting of the company’s MRP/ERP system. They will be tasked with leveraging their expertise in ERP to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. They will use their in-depth understanding of planning, supply chain, and operational processes, coupled with strong analytical skills to drive the successful evolution and optimization of our ERP system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand, document, and analyze complex business requirements related to planning, supply chain, and operational processes
- Translate business needs into clear and comprehensive functional specifications and user stories for configuration, customization, and development within the D365 F&O platform
- Configure D365 F&O modules and functionalities to align with business requirements, ensuring that system configurations optimize processes and workflows
- Understand and maintain Material-Master data and other settings and act in case of discrepancies
- Maintain proper MRP and Financial control of the orders
- Provide long term view of materials availability by analyzing the demand and supply requirement and flag issues ahead of time
- Work closely with development teams to design, build, and test customizations and enhancements within D365 F&O, ensuring solutions meet quality standards and business expectations
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and coordinate defect resolution and issue tracking in collaboration with technical teams
- Provide end-user training and support to ensure smooth adoption of D365 F&O functionalities and processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, planning, order administration finance, supply chain, and operations, to drive alignment between business requirements and system capabilities
- Analyze and optimize data and reporting requirements, utilizing D365 F&O reporting tools and technologies, such as Power BI, to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Stay current with updates, enhancements, and new features within the D365 F&O ecosystem, assessing their potential impact on business operations and processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of D365 F&O system utilization
- Guide the operations team members in all aspects of the operational functionality inside D365 with an emphasis on MRP, planning and supply chain
- Acts as the “Expert” or “Superuser” of the D365 system
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology or equivalent experience in a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- In-depth understanding of planning, supply chain, and operational processes, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Hands-on experience with D365 F&O configuration, including modules such as Planning, MRP, Inventory Management, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing and Sales
- Proficiency in working with D365 F&O reporting tools and technologies, such as Power BI, to develop meaningful insights and reports
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet business needs and user expectations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing priorities and project timelines.
- Project management skills to ensure timely delivery of tasks and projects within the D365 F&O environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations are a plus
- Prior MRP operational experience preferred
Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $98,000 – 125,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
