Description

Being the Maintenance Worker I, you will be responsible for the general maintenance of the Residential Flagship Campus: gardening, painting, plumbing, air-conditioning and heating systems, carpentry, and electrical. The Maintenance Worker I will complete facility work orders, plan, and complete minor repairs and assist outside contractors as required.

Our Total Compensation Package:

  • Starting Salary Range: $17.02 hourly

Qualifications

The Requirements We are Seeking:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years janitorial, facilities, maintenance, and/or building services experience.
  • Working knowledge of how to properly use manual and electric hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and minor vehicle repairs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • You have a valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record; reliable transportation; ability to travel to off-site locations utilizing personal transportation

What you Deliver in this role:

  • You complete a daily walk-thru inspections of facility to analyze facility maintenance needs.
  • You ensure current inspections, permits and licenses at the Flagship campus and vehicles.
  • You analyze repair needs to determine if the repair can be completed in-house or if outside vendors are required: equipment, surface, object.
  • You perform maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill area: plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, vehicle servicing.
  • You perform tasks such as but not limited to changing light bulbs, installing paper dispenser units, changing filters, changing locks on doors, minor decorative maintenance and other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled trades person or journeyman.
  • You perform all preventative maintenance of Flagship Campus.
  • You identify and corrects unsafe working conditions with management oversight.
  • You attend training programs as needed.
  • You apply all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
  • You maintain upkeep for all Flagship campus vehicles and ensure they are equipped with safety items (i.e., fire extinguisher, first aid kit).
  • You review ticket requests to ensure all tickets are completed within the appropriate timeframe.
  • You answer written and verbal communications (email, phone, etc.) within a timely manner.
  • You may be required to inventory equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • You utilize and operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assignments/maintenance. Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and usable manner.
  • Other duties/projects may be assigned.
