Description
Mission: Seton Home works to break the cycle of abuse and poverty by providing a caring home, education, and support services necessary to transform the lives of pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children.
Work Days: Monday – Friday Works Hours : 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Location: 1115 Mission Rd., San Antonio, TX, 78210
Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for up-keeping and maintaining repairs of the agencies buildings, vehicles, grounds and equipment, and other duties as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
- *Complete work orders and process them. Work cooperatively with staff to schedule and complete repairs.
- *Inspect all buildings and facilities and initiate repairs as needed.
- *Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing.
- *Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- *Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.
- *Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
- Conduct regular inventory of physical equipment and supplies and maintain accurate records. Order tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- *Respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
- *Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and identify items needing repair or replacement.
- As a Seton Home employee, attendance and successful completion of a 10-day New Employee Orientation is mandated for the position. The inability to meet this requirement will conclude employment with the Agency.
- Other duties as assigned by the director, Sr. Director or other Leadership Member.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
- High School Degree or GED equivalent.
- Experience
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in maintenance or related field.
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in maintenance related work
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;
- Must have good written and verbal skills;
- Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Travel Requirements:
Travel requirements for the position includes 50% local.
