Role Description

Arcadis is currently searching for a Environmental Engineer, Environmental Scientist, or Geologist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. With the backing of one of the industry’s leading technical and professional staffs, you will assist with project design and delivery, technical consulting, and field implementation for multiple regional clients.

Arcadis provides multiple onboarding and development programs created for our young professionals that will expand professional growth and help drive creativeness, innovation, and greater integration within our local, national, and global teams.

Role accountabilities:

  • Engineering design and treatment system optimization support.
  • Field and office support which may include drilling oversight for soil sampling and/or groundwater well installation, groundwater sampling, excavation oversight, conducting pilots and full-scale remedial efforts, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys.
  • Environmental remediation design tasks, including soil and groundwater remedial system and remedial design and assessments.
  • Assist with design calculations for the selection of treatment technologies and process design drawings for groundwater, industrial, water, and wastewater.
  • Assist Project Managers (PMs) and Assistant PMs (APMs) with planning environmental investigation and remediation tasks including site characterization, remedial design, and feasibility studies.
  • Office work may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, development of technical reports, presentations, cost-estimates, and proposals, regulatory file review, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional license (EIT and/or GIT)
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40 hr / 8 hr refresher training
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and small engine operation
  • Strong experience working with MS Office Software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Phase I and Phase II Due Diligence Experience through previous internships or employment

The salary range for this position is $52000 – 89700 / year.
