Job Description
Under general direction, lead and perform work of considerable difficulty in the design, development, testing, integration and implementation of enterprise business application systems and/or reporting/analytics platforms. PLEASE NOTE: Hybrid schedules are available.
Essential Functions: Reviews and analyzes business requirements as the basis for the development and documentation of logical and physical design specifications for enterprise business application and reporting/analytics platforms. Leads the effort in working with business users, IT analyst and technical staff to identify, recommend and document improvements, alternatives or new capabilities that would best deliver the technical solution that meets business requirements. From that effort, develops and documents an efficient and reliable technical design that integrates with required internal/external applications and interfaces. Supports technical development and database staff in execution of unit, system, user acceptance and performance testing of the software to ensure compliance with the design. Extends support as application and reporting/analytics system changes and upgrades are introduced into the production computing environment.
Demonstrates ability to provide technical leadership and direction to less experienced staff members and relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals and projects. Exhibits innovation and a strategic focus in performing work as well as the ability to exercise judgment in a complex environment. Employs defined standards and leading practices in design and development work efforts. Comfortable and versed in communicating in written and verbal form with business users, project team and Management.
Additional Responsibilities: Maintains confidentiality and integrity of District records and procedures; prepares reports and updates documentation & project plans; may report directly to a Project Leader/Manager or Manager; performs related work as required or as delegated by Supervisor.
