What you’ll do:

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the rules, law and work within the Division to provide the level of assistance needed.
  • Identify appropriate resources and develop project plans, timelines, and accountabilities for assignments.
  • Responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and oversight of all assigned activities.
  • Facilitate, monitor, track and encourage progress of cross division projects by assisting teams in developing project scopes, milestones, outcomes, and staff responsibilities, and assist with setting deadlines, scheduling meetings, and, at the direction of the Deputy Director and Director, addressing competing priorities.
  • Report project status to Division teams as well as Division leadership, reporting any issues or concerns that will impact the project’s success and timeliness.
  • Facilitate the coordination and communication of projects with team members to ensure projects are on-task and issues are resolved as they arise to ensure project success.
  • Research and provide project management best practices that will assist in developing proactive solutions for collaborating and working cohesively to complete projects on time and within scope.
  • Develop and present project management training to staff that helps ensure efficient project planning and successful outcomes for the teams and Division.
  • Actively serve on state and Cannabis Regulators Association (CANNRA) committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 4 -7 years of relevant experience in a Business or other closely related field (substitutions may be allowed)
  • Skill in leading team members
  • Skill in project planning, methodology development, best practices and implementation.
  • Ability to plan, monitor and complete complex projects from conception to implementation.
  • A high level of initiative, leadership, conflict resolution, skills in critical thinking, and problem solving.
  • Excellect time mangement skills and organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Expert user in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Above average skills in project data collection, analysis, tracking and report development.
  • Must be flexible and anticipate to execute changes quickly.
  • Able to take initiative to research and analyze business information to develop recommendations.
