About This Role:
As a critical team member in the Office of Data, Assessment, and Institutional Research (DAIR), the Lead Institutional Research analyst will work to implement and support reporting and analysis projects used for decision-making across all levels of the university. This involves:
• Gathering, combining, transforming, modeling, and aggregating data in preparation for use
• Creating dashboards, reports, and other visual data presentations
• Performing statistical analysis to derive meaning from datasets and summarizing findings
• Administering surveys and reporting results
• Supporting reporting needs for official and external agencies
• Responding to ad hoc data requests
• Supporting related processes, including access requests, process automation, end user support and training, and office documentation and workflows
Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics, the lead IR analyst is expected to understand typical higher education data elements and commonly used methodologies for querying, summarizing, analyzing, and reporting data for institutional research purposes. This position will also serve as an experienced resource for other staff members on the DAIR Institutional Research team.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Two or more years of Institutional Research or directly related experience.
- Previous work experience in a higher education environment.
- Experience developing data visualizations and reports using business intelligence and analytic platforms.
- Experience with statistical analysis
- Analytical software and programming experience in tools such as R, SAS, or Python
- Data retrieval and organization skills: SQL procedures, data organization and presentation software

$72,000.00 – $77,000.00
