A leading University is seeking a Control System Administrator Trainee. The successful candidate will monitor the performance of computerized components and communication networks to ensure the uptime and reliability of control systems. Control System Administrator TraineePay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $45/hr
- Worksite: Leading University (Stanford, CA 94305 – Hybrid, Rotating days onsite)

- 40 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment
Control System Administrator TraineeResponsibilities:
- Monitor the performance of computerized components and communication networks to ensure uptime and reliability of control systems.
- Perform controls system software upgrades and patches.
- Confirm all communications networks are installed and configured properly between the room-level Local Control Units, the Building Level Controllers, and the Building Control System Server.
- Create a sequence of operation logic program files using control system software.
- Create user interface graphics program files using control system software.
- Support troubleshooting of building process systems, including but not limited to HVAC and lighting, by working with other operations departments to efficiently identify and resolve sources of problems.
- Observe and support functional performance tests for construction projects.
- Maintain building control system documentation to ensure accurate as-built information, up to date sequence of operations (SOOs), and easy to reference set points and schedules.
- Configure and tune controls analytics tools (i.e. FDD) to match the needs of specific processes and buildings.
- Attend required training classes and satisfy requirements for completion certification.
- Achieve proficiency in areas and at dates specified in your Training Plan.

Control System Administrator TraineeQualifications:
- 3+ years of applicable experience administering IT systems including configuring and maintaining networks, servers, and user accounts. Relevant educational credentials may substitute for years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- CompTIA A+ certification (or equivalent), or ability to acquire within one year of start.
- Experience with computer PC architecture, basic computer math and conventions, and basic PC troubleshooting.
- A unique background of education, training, experience, and aptitude, and a drive to complete our Training program.
- Experience operating and maintaining modern building Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of general network topics, such as TCP/IP protocol and OSI model. CompTIA Network+, CCENT, or equivalent certification, or ability to acquire within one year of start.
- Tridium Niagara N4 Certification, or ability to acquire within one year of start.
- Constant learner, who hungers for new experiences and who enjoys sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems drawings.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Good oral and written communication skills. To be demonstrated through sample work and/or professional references.
- Good customer relations skills. To be demonstrated through professional references.
- Knowledge of commercial building HVAC processes and systems is a plus.
- Passionate about applying advanced technology to the physical world of high-performance buildings.
- Comfortable with the fact that there is always more for you to learn. In this position, you will gradually become an expert in three diverse areas: IT systems, building process systems, and control systems.
