That is the number of human diseases for which age is a significant risk factor
Powered with millions of biological data points you will drive the discovery of regenerative approaches to restore cell and tissue functionin diseases of aging and enable the development of new medicines for patients. As part of the Disease of Aging and Regenerative Medicine (DARe) Data Science team, this is an opportunity to shape, and contribute to, high dimensional data driven drug discovery to advance new medicines for ALS, Alzheimer’s disease, Osteoarthritis and many more diseases of aging. We are seeking a dedicated, creative, and skilled data scientist to join our global, dynamic, agile, embedded ‘dry-lab’ research environment. You will have the opportunity to be embedded and closely collaborate with our NIBR regeneration engine in the San Diego NIBR site. As a member of the NIBR data science community, you will also benefit from a >200 people global community with extensive know how and resources in data analysis, data engineering and machine learning.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Conduct scientific analyses, data integration, curation, and mining of multi-modal high dimensional pre-clinical data to provide actionable insights.
• Identify novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers candidates, elucidate the mode of action of drug candidates, advance the understanding of the molecular cross talks involved in cell fate decision and disease trajectories.
• Work at the interface between in vitro biology investigators, integrated pharmacology, and informatics experts to deliver new and actionable hypotheses based on large-scale molecular, imaging, clinical, and pre-clinical data
• Contribute to the identification of the most promising new analytical methodologies and data solutions and implement/integrate them within the DARe data science analytic toolbox. Develop and maintain state-of-the-art analytical tools and pipelines.
