Job Description
The Athletic Complex Manager on Duty position assists the Director of Walnut Creek Athletic Complex and includes responsibilities associated with Weekend Tournaments as well as City of Raleigh Softball leagues. The ideal candidate is task and project oriented, possesses good organization and communication skills, and can complete assigned tasks without supervision.
This role works 25 hours per week as a Permanent Part-Time position and contributes to the Local Governmental Employees’ Retirement System (LGERS) at a 6% employee contribution.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise Scorekeepers and Athletic Site Managers
- Work independently as the Manager on Duty
- Administrative management of adult softball program registration and cash handling for the ticket booths
- Assist with program supervision, monitoring facilities and customer inquiries
- Work with other program areas within the Recreation Division, wherein this position will drive a City of Raleigh vehicle and commute to other worksites as needed
Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
Licensing and Certifications:
- Valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR/First Aid certification (Training is provided by City of Raleigh)
